PC drippers operate with a silicone membrane that restricts the water flow path as the pressure increases. The restricted flow path offsets the increased flow that would normally accompany a pressure increase, so PC drippers give constant flow over a broad range of pressure. The advantages of compensated flow are listed below.
ADVANTAGES IN SLOPES:
PC drippers give a constant flow rate in sloped areas. This prevents accumulation of water at low points of a slope and lack of water which can occur at high points. This feature also reduces initial system costs as well as pumping costs while maintaining precise water output along the length of the drip lateral.

Pipes with PC drippers reduce the need for PVC pipe used as mainlines as they can cover more ground with longer laterals. PC dripline reduces the cost of labor for digging and trenching while simplifying the system considerably.
SIMPLE DESIGN:
Pipes with PC drippers are not sensitive to differences in elevation as the flowrate is not dependent on pressure. With PC drippers there is no need to adapt system design to sloped areas. Landscapers prefer to use pc drippers as it allows them flexibility and precision in system design.
FERTILIZER ADVANTAGE:
As PC drippers provide uniform water output they are the best solution for systems that combine fertilization into the irrigation process.
